Jewish Labor Committee Intern: New York City (paid)

One or two intern(s) to support Jewish Labor Committee's national office in midtown Manhattan (www.jewishlabor.org) will have a hands-on role in strengthening the connections between the organized Jewish community and the labor movement, and reaching out to current and potential JLC members in a number of communities.
Intern(s) must live in the Greater New York City area and be available a minimum of 15 hours/week and up to 20 hours/week. From January 9th through Memorial Day; may be extended to a full year.
Depending on timing of internship and skills of the intern(s), responsibilities can include:
"¢ Preparing material for the JLC's website, Facebook page and Twitter feed;
"¢ Developing a digital publication (e.g., emailable newsletter via MailChimp);
"¢ Researching and writing one or more articles and other material;
"¢ Reaching out to rabbis to participate in "œLabor on the Bimah" this fall;
"¢ Reaching out to current and potential JLC members and other possible participants in local rallies and demos, and participating in same;
"¢ Diverse administrative tasks.
